SIEGERT type RZ round tongs are suitable for transporting horizontal round steel bars, pipes and other rotationally symmetrical parts. To improve the load holding capability, a combination of three tongs is used, with two gripping forks on one side. This arrangement of three forks will compensate to a certain extent for an asymmetrical centre of gravity. The tongs also have a hold-open device enabling them to be set down open over the object.

The SIEGERT type RZE round tongs are based on the type RZ, but have only two arms. These are suitable for transporting short objects and those with a rough surface. The tongs must be set down exactly over the centre of gravity.

The SIEGERT type RZSCH round tongs are based on the type RZ, but with rubber-coated curved jaws. This makes them suitable for objects with sensitive surfaces, such as rolls of carpet or paper.
