standard tongs

The SIEGERT type NZ standard tongs enable a top rack to be used for different tasks and functions. The tongs run in parallel, which means that they can be equipped with a vertical slewing gear with rotary jaws or even very narrow jaws.
The SIEGERT type NZG standard tongs have particularly narrow jaws for transporting square objects. The jaws are lined either with rubber for gripping by frictional contact or with rosettes for micro-positive contact. |
The SIEGERT type NZRS standard tongs are based on the type NZG, but are equipped with prismatic jaws for holding round objects that are standing upright. |
The SIEGERT type NZRW standard tongs are based on the type NZG, but with prismatic jaws for holding horizontal round objects about their circumference. An adjustable table or winch is needed to position the tongs. |
The SIEGERT type NZA standard tongs can be equipped with all the jaws described above. In addition, the jaws can be rotated vertically. This means that, if the tongs are set down asymmetrically, the load can be aligned by raising the crane. |
The SIEGERT type NZD standard tongs are based on the type NZA, with the addition of a self-locking worm gear for turning the load about the vertical axis while suspended freely in the air. |
