SIEGERT type FZA drum tongs are suitable for transporting either horizontal or vertical drums. The drums can also be turned vertically. These tongs can only be used for drums of constant diameter.
The SIEGERT type SPFZD spindle drum tongs for single-handed operation. These tongs really make light work of drum handling tasks since only one person is needed to attach, turn and set down the drums. By turning the handwheel, the spindle tongs can be easily set down at any point on the drum – regardless of whether it is upright or lying down. The drums can also be of different heights and diameters. To be turned vertical, however, the drums must be held in their centre of gravity. The drums are turned by a self-locking slewing gear, which enables the contents of the drum to be emptied out in a controlled manner.
