These SIEGERT tongs are used to safely grip and transport tote boxes of constant dimensions. They act by gripping beneath the top edge of the tote box. We differentiate between an inner grab, type IZSK, and an outer grab, type UZE. Both types can optionally be supplied with a manulift adapter in place of the suspension eye.

SIEGERT tongs for transporting and emptying tote boxes

SIEGERT type AZF tongs are suitable for gripping and safely transporting tote boxes of constant dimensions. The jaws are also equipped with a vertical slewing gear. The centre of rotation is positioned beneath the overall centre of gravity of the box. A notched lever holds the grab jaw in the gripping position. The tote box can then be emptied out manually while it is still held in the tongs.

SIEGERT tongs for racks

The SIEGERT type UZST tongs are designed for use with racks, coils or containers. The only requirement is that the load to be lifted must have a solid rim for the grab to engage beneath. The grab then essentially adapts to the shape of the container. A positioning guide ensures that the grab is accurately centred on the container. The forks then engage gently beneath the rim. These tongs are supplied with an automatic stepping mechanism.
